Bears' Night Out: Free Movie Night at the New York Historical Society

Did you know the NY Historical Society has a beautiful theater showing some of the most acclaimed films?! Join CACNY for the New-York Historical Society’s film series, featuring opening remarks by notable directors, writers, actors, and historians. This series will explore how film has tackled social conflict, morality, and the perennial struggles between right and wrong that are waged from the highest levels of government to the smallest of local communities.


5:30 - 5:45 - Gather with Event Planning Committee Member Wai Lin Yip and fellow Bears on second floor of movie theater

5:45 - 6:00 - Get tickets during New-York Historica Society’s Pay-as-you-wish Friday Nights.  Tickets are distributed on a first-come, first serve basis beginning at 6 pm.

6:00 - 8:00 - Watch some amazing films as part of the Bernard and Irene Schwartz Classic Film Series

8:00 - 9:00 - Head to a local bar to discuss your film-viewing experience with other Bears
