The Haas Alumni Network New York Chapter invites all Berkeley alums to enjoy an evening with Haas Professor John Danner as he discusses The Other 'F' Word: Failure and Its Importance to Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Professor John Danner teaches entrepreneurship and innovation at Haas and in multi-discipline programs across UC Berkeley, including the highly immersive “Workshop for Start-ups” curriculum. He is actively involved in mentoring and advising start-ups at UC Berkeley’s SkyDeck accelerator and plays a leadership role driving innovation and growth at the Novato-based, ETwater, a smart grid-for-water, green-tech venture.
During this event, John will share both his co-teaching of a new MBA course with Professor Mark Coopersmith, as well as discuss their research on the other ‘f’ word" and their new business book, tentatively titled “Flunking Failure.” Come hear John discuss how to better prepare for and respond to failure, the relationships between failure, real innovation and inspired leadership and the valuable lessons we learn from failure, including those that drive long-term success.
